Windsor Castle is one of the most famous royal houses in England. The castle dates back to the successful invasion of Britain by William the conqueror in the 11th century. Since then, it has been used by all British monarchs. The castle survived the turbulent British civil war, the bombing of the German air force in the Second World War, and a fire in 1992.
